Travelers who are much interested in culture and old heritage way of life, this will be a perfect destination on Tamang Heritage Trail around Langtang Himal, where you can witness and soak in the local colorful culture and old traditional way of living as it was since the past hundred of centuries. The Tamang people are descended from Mongolian and Tibetan backgrounds with similar Tibetan Buddhism culture and traditional way of life and heritage, one of the earliest tribes to settle on high hills of the Himalayas and as good outskirts of Kathmandu valley in past thousands of years as traced in the history of Nepal. Tamang Heritage Trail around Langtang Himal is a wonderful mountain destination for all types of people, besides its rich culture and age-old custom, the scenery of snow-capped landscapes is captivating.

The walk leads you into enchanting dense woodland of tall rhododendron-magnolia with pines and oaks trees, wherein spring hills will be aflame when wildflowers are in full bloom turning the country into a natural paradise. Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek Trail around Langtang Himal starts with an interesting drive northwest of Kathmandu valley to reach our starting point of the trek and then heads near to Tibet border with an exciting and pleasant time around Tamang village and exploring monasteries and culture of great interest. Finally, our marvelous walk ends back at Syabrubesi for the drive into hustle and bustle of the city life of Kathmandu, after being in complete tranquility within green forest, villages, and mountains with great time and experience of a lifetime on the Tamang Heritage Trail around Langtang Himal.

On arrival by respective airlines where our guide and staff receive you for a short drive to your hotel in the hub of busy Kathmandu, with hotels in a quiet environment after getting a refresher in your rooms our guide will brief you on treks-hotels with necessary information.
Morning an interesting drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche town to reach at Syabrubesi village to start our treks, as the drive leads through Himalayan foothills to reach Trisuli Bazaar a warm sub-tropical area. Our journey continues towards cooler alpine hills on a long winding road past farm villages and towns to reach at Dhunche, at a height of 1,950 m. Headquarters and the main town of Rasuwa district of Langtang area where Langtang National Park begins. From Dhunche drive leads downhill to Syabrubesi village in the shade of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, overnight in a simple but cozy and nice local lodge at Syabrubesi.
The first-day walk leads towards a large and impressive Gatlang village, heading due west, taking an old walking trail avoiding the main motor road, as our route enters scattered farm areas of Tamang's small settlements. As the walk progress leading to a gentle climb to reach Gatlang for the overnight stop, on arrival villagers will greet with warm open smiles, and then transfer to a local lodge, guest house, or homestay for the overnight stop. Herewith enough time to explore Gatlang village of great interest with a tour of the monastery and then visit Tamang houses enriched with ancient culture and traditional farm life.
The morning starts with the grand scenery of the peaks of Ganesh Himal with views of the Tibet Mountains towards north directions as our walk begins with a slow climb on a wide trail past small farm villages and woodland to reach Tatopani for an overnight stop. Tatopani means hot water/spring, as this village is named 'Tatopani’ a place with a hot natural spring here with time for a dip in warm pools and exploring this nice village which lies on route Tibet border of Kyarong.
The morning walk leads on the same trail of the Tibet frontier for a few hours heading north to Nagthali and then to Thuman village for an overnight stop. The morning walk follows a gradual path and then an uphill climb most of the day with a few short downhills facing views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung, as walk leads into the forest area then pass through Nagthali village, after a few hours of good walks approaching to our overnight stop at Thuman village with time in the afternoon to explore around this nice isolated farm village.
After an interesting time around the friendly Tamang village looking at overviews of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, the morning walk starts on a gradual path than with a climb heading to a ridge overlooking more views of mountains and surrounding landscapes to enter into lovely rhododendron, pines, and oaks forest. After a great scenic and interesting uphill walk finally, our route descends to another wonderful village at Briddim for an overnight stop.
After a wonderful stop in a remote Tamang farm village of Briddim, a walk leads into the deep forest with ups for an hour, and then on the downhill to reach Lama-Hotel, a small settlement amid the forest at the bank of the upper Trisuli River with many good lodges to stay. Lama Hotel is situated on the trail from Syabrubesi towards Kyanjin Gompa around Langtang valley past Langtang village.
Our last day trekking of this fabulous journey leads back to Syabrubesi as the morning walk follows a river into a cool forest, and then downhill through smaller farm villages and terraced fields to reach the bottom of Bhote Kosi River which joins the Trisuli River. After crossing a suspension bridge a pleasant walk brings you back to Syabrubesi for the last and final overnight stop around the Langtang Himal area and Rasuwa district.
Morning drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway with exciting time as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey reaching Kathmandu, then transfer to your respective hotels.
Your final and last day in amazing Nepal in the country of high Himalaya with remarkable time and adventure on Tamang Heritage Trail Around Langtang Himal, depart from the hotel for onward destinations flying homeward bound.
