The Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek in the Everest region passes through the peaceful environment of Khumbu Region avoiding the regular trail. Unlike Everest Base Camp Trek, Gokyo Lake and Renjo La Pass trek follows the path of Renjo La pass and finally reaches the Gokyo Lake.

Gokyo Ri lying at an elevation of 5330m/17487 feet is considered as the best view point to enjoy the amazing views of high mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyo and many others. The region is also home to some rare and endangered species of animals like like red pandas, snow leopards, and many more.

The Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek starts with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla within an hour. We climb up to the Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar, and rest there. Renjo La Pass gives an elective route to the Gokyo trek, making a circuit.

A full day to acclimatize in Namche Bazaar allows us to explore the beautiful lifestyle and culture of local Sherpa people, monasteries, and more. And then we continue our trek to Dole-Machermo and then to Gokyo Lake, which is located west of the Everest Base Camp.

And we follow our trekking route to Gokyo Ri, where you will enjoy a spectacular sunrise view. After that, the trekking route will pass through Renjo La Pass and trek down to Lungden and Lumde. Renjo La Pass gives an elective route to the Gokyo trek, making a circuit.

From Lumde, you will trek down to Thame before reaching Namche Bazar. At Thame, you will visit a monastery and trek down to Namche Bazar and then to Lukla. You will experience and explore your lifetime-memorable trek and fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla Airport to conclude the trek.

Best Season for Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek is during Autumn and Spring. However this trek can be done during monsoon and winter also. Welcome to Nepal! On Day 1 of your itinerary, you will arrive in Kathmandu, located at an altitude of 1,350m/4,428ft. As you step off the plane, one of our representatives will be eagerly awaiting your arrival gate at the airport. They will transfer you to your hotel in downtown Kathmandu, where you can take some time to rest and rejuvenate after your long flight. After refrshment a short brifing about the trip and preparetion for next day trip. Overnight at Hotel.
On Day 2, we'll depart from Kathmandu and head towards Lukla, situated at an altitude of 2,800m/9184ft. We'll start our day early, with a domestic flight to Lukla, which lasts for approximately 35 minutes. The flight will offer you breathtaking views of the magnificent mountain ranges. Once we arrive in Lukla, you'll meet up with your guide and porters before commencing the trekking journey. Our first trek will be an easy 3 to 4-hour walk to the Phakding, with a clear and wide path. As we head north, we'll be able to spot the peak of Kusum Kangaru, while walking downhill through agricultural lowlands beneath a kani arch. We'll be treated to views of cozy teahouses, Buddhist gompas (monasteries), prayer wheels, and enormous boulders painted with sacred mantras. Our trek will conclude once we cross the Dudh Koshi river, as we reach the scenic town of Phakding, situated at an altitude of 2,652m/8,698ft.
On Day 3 of our journey, we'll have breakfast in Phakding before embarking on a 5-6 hours trek to Namche Bazaar, located at an altitude of 3,440m/11,283ft. Our trail will take us over the Dudh Koshi River via a long suspension bridge, followed by a scenic walk through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo, approximately two hours away. As we approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, we'll have a brief permit check, and then we'll descend to the Dudh Kosi River, where we'll spot Mani stones and fields of giant cabbage along the way. We'll have lunch in Jorsale before heading uphill towards Namche Bazaar. Our path along the riverbank will be flanked by two crossings, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. The climb up the hill to our resting place in Namche Bazaar will be challenging, but your efforts will be rewarded with your first stunning view of the majestic Everest.
During the day , you can hike to Thame for beautiful Himalayan views, wild animals and Tibetan Monastery or hike to Everest view hotel for superb views of Mt. Everest( 8848m , Mt.Lhotse, (8516n) Mt. Nuptse, (7855m), Mt.Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku ( 6723m) , Mt. Kantega (6979m), Mt. Kusum Khangaru ( 6367m) , Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Tawache peak ( 6367 m) , Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,island peak (6179m), Khumbila (God of Khumbu) 5761m etc , overnight at Namche Bazaar.
On Day 5, we'll take a final stroll around Namche Bazaar before beginning our 6-hour trek towards Dole, situated at an altitude of 4,100m/13,452ft. Our trail will take us up an easy path that provides breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of Shanasa and the small settlement of Mong. We'll ascend Mongla Hill on its left side and then descend towards Phortse Thanga, where we'll have lunch. As we continue upwards through woods of flowering rhododendron, we'll emerge to a perfect view of Cho Oyu. The rest of the afternoon will be a relatively simple walk to Dole, our final destination for the day. Dole is a small village adorned with a handful of teahouses, which used to be a yak pasture. On Day 6, we'll embark on a short and enjoyable 4-hour trek from Dole to Machhermo, situated at an altitude of 4,470m/14,665ft. We'll take it easy to ensure proper acclimatization, avoiding overexertion at this stage of the journey. The day will commence with a climb over Dole via a scenic ridge, taking us across yak pastures and tiny stone huts in Luza. We'll follow the trail along a valley high over the river, crossing sandy spurs and pastures adorned with a chorten and prayer flags, arriving at Machhermo by midday. Overnight at Mountain Lodge
On 7 day, We kick off the day with stunning views of the valley, Kangtega, and the northern part of Cho Oyu as we cross the ridge. Although it's a short climbing day, the steep trails will make up for the shorter distance. We'll make our way down to the river bank before ascending towards the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier, passing through an ablation valley formed by melting ice. A series of cairns will guide us through a stony landscape, with a picturesque Mountain Lake to our left. As we continue, the valley broadens, and we'll encounter the larger Taboche Tsho tarn before reaching a narrower section of the ablation valley and the third tarn, Dudh Pokhari, adorned with prayer flags on its eastern shore. We'll take a moment to admire the view before trekking another hour to Gokyo village, situated on the edge of the third lake. Overnight at Lodge
On Day 8, we will stay in Gokyo for acclimatization purposes and to further adjust to the high altitude. If the weather allows, we can take a one-hour walk to the top of Gokyo Ri, a hill overlooking Lake Dudh Pokhari on the north shore. The summit is identified by numerous cairns and prayer flags, offering a spectacular view of the turquoise Gokyo lake below. For those who are passionate about trekking, we recommend taking a side trip to the fourth and fifth lake. Overnight at Mountain Lodge.
On Day 9, we will embark on a challenging trek from Gokyo to Maruleng via the Renjo La Pass, starting early in the morning. This is a long hike and the only option for us to reach our destination. We'll leave the main trail and head towards the pass, descending through Gokyo Valley before making the ascent to Renjo La, which takes approximately three hours. From the top, we'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, and Taboche. After soaking in the scenery, we'll make our way down the east bank of the Bhote Koshi River to reach Maruleng, where we'll spend the night. The trek will take approximately 6-8 hours, covering a distance of 15km. Overnight at Mountain Lodge
On Day 10, we will travel from Maruleng to Thame, following a path that has been used by Tibetan traders for centuries. We'll begin by crossing the Bhote Koshi river and descending to Taranga. The trail will then lead us through the picturesque Langmuche Khola River valley, culminating in the village of Thame. This sizable settlement boasts a renowned monastery and offers breathtaking views of several mountain peaks. The entire trek will take us around 5 to 6 hours to complete, covering a distance of 10 kilometers.
On Day 11, we will make our way from Thame to Namche Bazaar. Along the way, we will pass through a check post before arriving at the world's highest hydroelectric power station that supplies electricity to much of the upper Khumbu region. Our trail will take us past gompas, prayer flags, and mani walls before reaching Namche Bazaar, where we will spend the night. The distance we will cover is 10km and it will take us approximately 6 hours. Overnight at Mountain lodge.
On Day 12, we will start our trek towards Lukla after having breakfast. Our route will take us across the Hillary Suspension Bridge and through a number of small villages, including Phakding. Upon reaching Lukla, we'll check into a comfortable hotel and celebrate our successful completion of the trek with our fellow team members. It's a time for reflection, as we look back on the challenges we faced and the incredible sights we saw. Although it's bittersweet that our adventure is coming to an end, we can take pride in the accomplishment of our physical and mental strength. Overnight at Lodge.
On Day 13, you'll take a short 35-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (please refer to note). This marks the end of your journey through the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel for some well-deserved personal time to rest and reflect on your trek. Later in the evening, we'll come together again for a farewell dinner at one of the top Nepalese restaurants in town, where we'll eagerly listen to your thoughts and feedback on the trip.
